26-year-old Khamzat Kadyrov, nephew of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Property and Land Relations of the region. The head of the republic announced this on his page on VKontakte.

“Held a meeting of the government of the region. Introduced the new Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Property and Land Relations of the Chechen Republic Khamzat Kadyrov to the members of the Cabinet of Ministers,” says in the message.

Kadyrov called his nephew a talented and executive leader and noted that he proved this in previous government positions.

Khamzat Kadyrov is the son of Zelimkhan Kadyrov (brother of the head of Chechnya). Kadyrov’s nephew began his civil service in 2017 as an assistant to the head of the republic. In April 2018, he became the first deputy head of the administration of the Kurchaloevsky municipal district, and in June of the same year, he became the head of the administration.

Kadyrov was born in 1997. In 2012, he graduated from the Tsentaroevskaya school of Khafiz, and in 2017 he graduated from the Faculty of Public Administration of the Chechen State University. In 2018, Khamzat Kadyrov received Chechnya’s highest award, the Akhmat Kadyrov Order.
