Kadyrov: Akhmat fighters who participated in the arrest of terrorists will be presented with state awards
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, reported in his telegram channel that soldiers of the Akhmat-Russia regiment of the Ministry of Defense stationed in the Bryansk region, who guard the border with Ukraine, participated in the detention of the suspects in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
The report says that Chechen fighters arrived at the given coordinates at around three o’clock in the morning and, together with the FSB TsSN and soldiers of the Leningrad Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, completed the task of taking the terrorists alive, despite the risks.
According to Kadyrov, not a single security officer was injured during the operation. He emphasized that the commander of the Western Military District, Colonel General Yevgeny Nikiforov, said that Chechen fighters would be nominated for state awards.
