Kadyrov announced his readiness for negotiations with Zelensky “one on one”

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, believes that it is wrong to negotiate with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, but he is ready to talk with him one on one. He stated this on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.

“With him [Зеленским] to negotiate, I think, is wrong. Now, if I was sent to him one on one, then it was possible to negotiate. I would quickly convince him. I would quickly sign all the documents that are needed. And to make a hero out of him there, to negotiate with him, I think it’s wrong,” he said.

When asked what Kadyrov would say to Zelensky, the head of Chechnya replied that he would not say anything to him. “I would not say anything and would force you to do what is needed. I am a psychologist. I understand people very well, I can manage, so I would quickly <...> put him in his place,” he added.

Kadyrov expressed confidence that by the end of the year all the tasks of the special operation would be 100% completed. He also noted that the victory for him is the destruction of the Zelensky gang, the election of a new president in Ukraine and the further building of relations with Kiev as a union state.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.

Since the beginning of the special operation, the parties have held negotiations several times. The first three face-to-face meetings took place in Belarus in February-March, and the fourth round of the Russian-Ukrainian dialogue was held on March 29 in Istanbul. Later, the process was frozen as Ukraine withdrew from it, and Zelensky legislated that negotiations could not be resumed while Putin was president of Russia.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly spoken about Ukraine’s unwillingness to negotiate with Russia. At the end of November 2022, the Kremlin representative declaredthat negotiations between the two countries are now impossible, since they are denied by the Ukrainian side.
