Journalist Seymour Hersh ridiculed publications in the United States about the threat to “Putin’s regime”

Russian President Putin has found himself in a much stronger position after a failed coup attempt in the country. Such a statement was made on Thursday, June 29, by the American journalist Seymour Hersh, known for his revealing articles about the US role in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines.

Hersh noted that his assessment is based on data from US intelligence, which came to similar conclusions.

He also recalled publications in the Western media and statements by American observers about the threat to “Putin’s regime.” Instead, according to the journalist, they should have realistically assessed the total catastrophe that befell the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Hersh has previously stated that most of the world’s population support the Russian special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, while the United States has lost confidence in itself. He also added that today Africa and Asia have ceased to be pro-American and have become pro-Russian. In addition, the journalist stressed that now, due to the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions in the Russian Federation, “things are not as good as before.”
