Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi announced the cancellation of a quadripartite summit planned to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.
This summit was to be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of the leaders of Egypt, the United States and Palestine. The office of Jordanian King Abdullah II previously clarified that the event was planned to discuss events in Gaza, their impact on the region and possible measures to help the enclave.
The cancellation of the summit is associated with the Israeli military strike on the Al-Ahli hospital, which killed about 800 people, including women and children. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced three days of mourning in memory of the victims of the strike.
