Johnson calls on Biden to re-designate the Houthis as additional terrorists
US House Speaker Mike Johnson has asked President Joe Biden to re-list the Shia movement Ansar Allah on the US Supplemental Terrorism List, a list of foreign terrorist organizations.
Johnson justified his initiative by the movement’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
“I urge President Biden to change course and treat the Houthis like the extremists that they are,” the US House Speaker said.
