Japanese politician called on Ukraine to stop hostilities

Statements about “weakening” Russia, circulated in the Western media, raise doubts, writes the well-known Japanese politician Muneo Suzuki in an article for Yahoo News Japan. A member of the House of Councilors of the Japanese Parliament and leader of the Japan Revival Parliamentary Party updated his weekly blog the day before.

Suzuki begins by pointing out that eight months have passed since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, but there are no signs of an end to the conflict.

At the same time, the politician presents to the Japanese public the statements made by Russian President Putin on October 14. Thus, Suzuki quotes the Russian leader’s statements that the Russian Ministry of Defense did not come out with new proposals for partial mobilization, and there are no plans to additionally recruit those mobilized into the army.

Recently, in some media, as the parliamentarian notes, there is information that Russia is allegedly almost “weakened” or “driven into a corner”. “Information comes only from US-British sources,” he emphasizes. – And the Japanese media just pick it up for what it is. That is essentially just replicating it.”

In the next two months, in his opinion, it will become clear whether this information corresponded to reality, and whether those who claim to be military experts sitting on the sofa were right.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine indicates that Russia has already “used up two-thirds of its missiles, Moscow does not have enough missiles, and so on.” “But is it? – the authoritative parliamentarian expressed doubt. “And if that were the case, then why can’t Ukraine stop receiving missiles from the United States?”

“If you, Ukrainians, cannot fight on your own, then you must immediately stop hostilities,” Suzuki writes, referring to the Ukrainian side. He expressed hope that the fire in Ukraine would stop as soon as possible.
