“Izvestia”: no detour – Kazakhstan will have to supply oil through the Russian Federation
[ad_1]
According to the Izvestiya newspaper, Kazakhstan realized that they would need multibillion-dollar investments and many years to organize new routes for oil supplies bypassing the Russian Federation.
In 2022, the Kazakh authorities spoke a lot about the search for oil supply routes that would bypass Russia. The reasons were: both the geopolitical situation and problems with the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). This pipeline runs from Western Kazakhstan to the port of Novorossiysk.
In March, berths were damaged in the port of Novorossiysk due to a storm. In June, the problem of demining from mines and bombs of the Great Patriotic War was solved. In July, oil transportation was stopped by the decision of the Primorsky District Court of Novorossiysk.
The authors of the materials claim that, with all these difficulties, Kazakhstan has not found alternative ways without multi-billion investments.
