The need to close borders within the Schengen zone depends on developments, the best way for potential terrorists to get into Italy is to land from the sea, said the country’s Defense Minister Guido Crosetto in interview Corriere della Sera.

It is impossible not to allow potential lone terrorists to reach Italy by boat via sea, he argues. According to him, when “tens of thousands of migrants” enter Europe, it is obvious that among them there will be “those who are not saints.”
“This is the best way for potential terrorists to get into Italy. In recent years, thousands of people have been coming from morning to night and can harm us,” the minister said.
