Representatives of the Public Chamber of Russia proposed to name one of the streets of Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, in honor of the deceased journalist Daria Dugina, informs telegram channel OP RF.
“Decision is made! One of the streets of Melitopol will be named after Daria Dugina. This proposal was previously made by the Public Chamber. And so yesterday [23 марта] Mayor of the city Galina Danilchenko told the author of the initiative Alexander Malkevich the good news – very soon the memory of Daria Dugina will be immortalized in Melitopol, ”the telegram channel post reads.
The decision to name the street in honor of Dugina was made by a public council sent to prepare and consider all proposals. The representatives of the public council included such figures of the Zaporozhye region as local historians, historians, as well as caring residents of Melitopol.
“The assignment of one of the streets of the city named after Daria Dugina is an absolutely logical and fair decision,” the source notes.
According to representatives of the RF OP, Melitopol was the last city liberated by Russia that Dugina managed to visit before her assassination.
