For the first time since February 21, President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting of the Security Council in person, according to information on the Kremlin website. Until recently, these meetings were regularly held via videoconferencing. At the previous face-to-face meeting at the end of February, members of the Security Council spoke about the situation in Ukraine and the need to recognize the DPR and LPR. This time the agenda was different.
“Today we have a planned issue: the Ministry of Emergency Situations proposes to discuss the issues of improving civil defense (GO). Let’s start working,” Putin said in the open part of the Security Council meeting.
