Israeli President urges immediate halt to judicial reform process

Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog called on the government to immediately stop the reform of the judiciary.
On Twitter, the politician wrote: “In the name of the unity of the people of Israel, in the name of responsibility, I call on you to stop the legislative process.”
Earlier, the parliamentary committee of the Israeli Knesset approved a bill for the II and III readings, depriving the Supreme Court of the authority to review the appointments of ministers.
Recall that thousands of protesters are taking place in Israel against the judicial reform initiated by the government of the country.
