The Israeli government has approved the evacuation of residents near the border with Lebanon. This was reported by the press service of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
“The government decision, which has now been approved, authorizes the Minister of Defense and the IDF to carry out, in accordance with the assessment of the situation, a phased evacuation of populated areas located at a distance of 2 to 5 km from the Lebanese border,” the statement said (quote according to TASS).
About evacuation within 2 km from the border with Lebanon reported at the National Emergency Management Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on October 16. Then the evacuation of residents from 28 settlements was approved.
