Israeli Ambassador to Kyiv Mikhail Brodsky responded in his Telegram channel to Kyiv’s accusations of deporting Ukrainian refugees from Israel.
Recall that earlier the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel threatened to close Uman for Israeli pilgrims and cancel the agreement on visa-free travel if Israel continues to deport Ukrainian refugees.
As Brodsky noted, since the beginning of the year, 2,500 Ukrainian citizens have been denied entry to Israel, which is 5.4% of the total number of Ukrainians (47,000) who arrived in the country in 2023. The ambassador referred to the data of the Department of Population and Migration of the Israeli Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“In the overwhelming majority of cases, we are talking about those who came to work illegally in Israel,” Brodsky emphasized.
