Israel calls on its citizens to leave Egypt and Jordan

The government raised the travel warning for Egypt (including Sinai) and Jordan to Level 4 (high threat) and urged Israeli citizens to leave these countries as soon as possible. Authorities have raised the threat level for Morocco to level 3 – it is recommended to avoid “non-essential travel”, the statement said.

“As the war continues in recent days, there has been a further significant escalation in protests against Israel around the world, with a focus on Arab countries in the Middle East, along with hostility and violence against Israelis and Jews,” the warning said.

The Israeli authorities, as follows from the statement, also recommended that their citizens avoid staying in all countries of the Middle East and Arab countries, including Turkey, the UAE and Bahrain. In addition, the government urged people not to travel to Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the Maldives.
