Israeli authorities are working with international partners to establish field hospitals in the Gaza Strip. This was stated by the press secretary of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in reserve, Jonathan Conricus.
He also said that work is underway to create floating hospitals off the coast to provide qualified medical care. Coricus emphasized that the floating hospitals do not belong to Israel, but nevertheless, everything necessary will be done to organize them.
In addition, the IDF reserve spokesman noted that, by agreement with Egypt, 12 additional ambulances were delivered to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint. They were provided by Kuwait.
Earlier it became known about Israeli shelling that hit the Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip. The Iranian state agency Tasnim, citing its sources, reported that the medical facility was completely de-energized and explosions were heard around it. Later, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that he could not contact his coordinators at Al-Shifa Hospital.
