On the evening of Friday, March 22, it became known about shooting and a fire in Crocus City Hall, where the concert of the Picnic group was supposed to take place. Later, the FSB reported that the weapons used by the terrorists had been placed in a special cache in advance.

Having carried out a terrorist attack, the attackers headed towards the Russian-Ukrainian border in order to cross into Ukrainian territory. According to the Russian FSB, they had relevant contacts in the adjacent territory. It was reported that a total of 11 people were detained, including 4 direct perpetrators of the terrorist act, who were caught on Saturday morning in the Bryansk region. All of them turned out to be citizens of foreign countries, and the terrorists have now been arrested.
