Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Yarovaya proposed to supplement the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation with four new articles at once, directed against sabotage and terrorist activities. This follows from the submitted bill.
The proposed additions to the code are: article 281.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Promotion of subversive activities”; article 281.2 “Training for the purpose of carrying out subversive activities”; article 281.3 “Organization of a sabotage community and participation in it”; Article 151.3 “Organization of activities aimed at inciting minors to commit acts that pose a danger to their life (or) health, as well as to the life and (or) health of others.” According to the last article, it will be possible to prosecute persons from the age of 16.
In addition, it is proposed to supplement Article 63 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Circumstances Aggravating Punishments” in part 1 with a paragraph on the commission of a crime in order to promote, justify and support sabotage. Yarovaya explains the need to adopt these changes in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation by the need to improve the legal mechanisms for countering terrorist and sabotage activities.
