Irina Podnosova recommended for the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court

The Higher Qualification Board of Judges (HQJC) recommended the Chairman of the Judicial Collegium for Economic Disputes of the Supreme Court, Irina Podnosova, to the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court. This was announced by the Chairman of the VKKS Nikolai Timoshin.
“The decision was made unanimously, all that remains is to wish you success,” said Mr. Timoshin, summing up the discussion of the candidacy.
Irina Podnosova graduated from the Faculty of Law of Leningrad State University in 1975 with a degree in jurisprudence.
Introducing Podnosova, Chairman of the Council of Judges Vikto Momotov noted that she worked as a judge for many years, she has an excellent education and extensive experience in organizational work, she is not afraid to defend her position and remain in the minority.
Irina Podnosova herself told about herself that during her work as chairman of the economic board, she participated in the preparation of two bills, 13 resolutions of the plenum of the Supreme Court, 17 reviews of judicial practice, and also considered 11,700 cassation appeals.
