Iraqi groups announced shelling of Israeli Eilat
Iraqi Shiite factions, part of the so-called Islamic Resistance in Iraq, said they carried out a new attack on a target in the southern Israeli city of Eilat.
They called the targeted target “vital” and it was targeted using drones.
“In response to the massacres committed by the usurper entity against the Palestinian civilian population, including children, women and the elderly, the mujahideen… attacked the vital target of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat),” the group said in a statement.
Previously, the same group reported attacks on an oil refinery in the Israeli city of Haifa. The attack was reportedly carried out on Saturday morning, also using drones.
Shiite groups in Iraq have also announced plans to destroy Israeli strongholds as part of “resistance to occupation” as well as support for Palestine in response to Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.
