Iranian intelligence: CIA dictates to Macron what to say

According to Iranian Intelligence Minister Seyyed Esmail Khatib, it is no longer necessary for the US president to set policy for French President Emmanuel Macron, as the CIA dictates to the French leader “what to say and what position to take.”
Khatib also compared the former leaders of France and Germany, saying that they once put forward proposals for European independence from the US and played an important role on the world stage. The minister stressed that regardless of whether their influence on Europe was “good or bad”, the names of the leaders of these countries are inscribed in European history. He said this in an interview with the IRNA news agency.
Perhaps the intelligence minister was referring to former French President Charles de Gaulle, who ruled France from 1959 to 1969, and German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, who did not succumb to US pressure.
