“Resistance leaders” will not allow Israel to take any action in the Gaza Strip; preventive measures are planned to be taken in the coming hours. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, transmits IRNA.

“Any possibility is acceptable,” he said when asked about Iran’s potential to enter into conflict. According to Abdollahian, Hezbollah also faces “all possible options and scenarios.”

The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Israel was “targeting all security in the region.” He stressed that if Iran does not protect the Gaza Strip, it must ensure the security of its cities. Abdollahian expressed the opinion that if action is not taken now, then tomorrow “you will have to fight the Zionist forces in Beirut.” The diplomat also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of weakness, noting that he prolonged the conflict.

October 16, First Deputy Head of Iran’s Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Ebrahim Azizi statedthat in the event of an Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, “new battle fronts” could appear against the country. According to him, this is a “red line” for Iran. Azizi added that a war on several fronts “could lead to the fall of Israeli power and statehood.” Prior to this, the Iranian Permanent Mission to the UN also warnedthat Tehran may intervene in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the event of an Israeli attack on the country’s territory.

The situation in the Middle East escalated in early October when the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched Operation Iron Swords, which regularly attacks hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war. According to the latest data, the death toll during the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has exceeded 4,000 people, more than half of them are Palestinians.
