The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open a criminal case against representatives of the Ukrainian special services who filed illegal charges against the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and his subordinates, should from the press release of the TFR.

“It is obvious that the decisions of the SBU on the criminal prosecution of these officials, who are citizens of the Russian Federation, were taken on far-fetched grounds and are contrary to the law,” the report says.

The department also noted that the investigation will establish specific SBU officials who made illegal decisions to bring Russian citizens to criminal liability.

Earlier today, the SBU charged Kadyrov and two of his subordinates with “war crimes.” The head of the republic has been charged under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including “deliberate actions to change the borders of the territory of Ukraine in violation of the order.”

In response to this, the politician asked the SBU “to determine the place where to come in order to find out who the criminal and the terrorist are.” He stressed that he would continue to take part in hostilities in Ukraine, despite the allegations.
