The military investigating authorities of the TFR have established the identity of the organizer of the Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian airfields. It turned out to be the commander of the 383rd separate regiment of remotely controlled aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Burdenyuk, writes “Kommersant”.
In relation to him, the military investigation department of the ICR for the Western Military District opened a criminal case under a number of articles, including the murder of two or more persons committed in a generally dangerous way, as well as an attempt to commit this crime (part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code). Burdenyuk, who is on the territory of Ukraine, was arrested in absentia and put on the international wanted list.
The 383rd separate regiment was formed in Ukraine in February-March last year “with the aim of committing crimes against the peace and security of mankind, killing servicemen of the Russian Ministry of Defense and obstructing their legitimate activities to ensure public security on the territory of the DPR and LPR.”
As the newspaper notes, the military personnel of this regiment controlled the UJ-22 Airborne strike UAV, which on October 7, 2022 attacked the regular parking lot of the 3rd Aviation Squadron of Tu-22M3 supersonic bombers at the Shaikovka airfield in the Kaluga region. The explosion was carried out at a height of 10 m, but “due to circumstances beyond the control of members of an organized criminal group” there were no casualties or damage on the ground.
The second episode in the framework of the criminal case was the raid of the Ukrainian unmanned jet aircraft Tu-141 “Strizh” of Soviet production on the Ryazan (Dyagilevo) airfield, where Tu-22M3s were also located. The materials of the investigation say that three servicemen were killed then, seven more were injured, and three bombers were damaged.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the drone attack on the night of August 30, saidthat Vladimir Putin receives all the information related to the situation around the special operation. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, then called the massive drone attack “an absolute dead end” in which Kyiv is located. According to her, recent incidents indicate the lack of development prospects for the leadership of Ukraine.
