International reserves increased by $10 billion in a week

Central Bank informedthat the volume of international reserves as of January 13 amounted to $592 billion. Over the week, the indicator increased by 1.7%, that is, by $10 billion. According to the regulator, this happened under the influence of a positive revaluation.
The volume of international reserves increased for the second week in a row. As of January 6, it was $582 billion. The indicator reached its historical maximum on February 18 – $643.2 billion.
After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the European Union imposed sanctions on the Central Bank. As a result, about $300 billion of the $640 billion of gold and foreign exchange reserves of the Bank of Russia was frozen.
