India announced plans for European sanctions against its company for connections with Russia

The Indian government is reviewing the EU’s decision against Indian major Si2 Microsystems and will determine whether to appeal their decisions. This is stated in the Telegram channel of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RASPP).

Previously, the Indian company Si2 Microsystems came under US and EU sanctions. Thus, in November 2023, companies restricted access to American integrated circuits, and on Friday Si2 Microsystems India was included in the sanctions list of the 13th package of EU sanctions.

According to a senior Indian official, India does not recognize unilateral sanctions imposed bypassing the UN. At the same time, Si2 Microsystems is a partner of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India, actively participating in the Make in India program, a supplier to the Indian army and public sector companies, as well as foreign buyers.

The Indian government said it checked the activities of Si2 Microsystems and found nothing illegal.

“Thus, we may soon have an important precedent. From the very beginning of the NWO, India, due to its cooperation with Russia, experienced strong pressure from the West, and coped with dignity – however, this could be expected from a power with ambitions. If now the Indian government shows that it is ready to defend the interests of its companies, then this will be a very positive signal for Russian-Indian relations,” the RASPP article says.
