In Ukraine, called the cause of the crash of a helicopter with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country

The erroneous actions of the pilot in difficult meteorological conditions caused a helicopter crash in Brovary, Kyiv region on January 18, 2023, the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported. The accident killed 14 people, including the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denis Monastyrsky.

In the Telegram channel, the departments claim that during the pre-trial investigation, they managed to restore the day of the accident every minute, including deciphering the “black boxes”.

A helicopter was involved in the transportation of the delegation, which was on duty to respond to potential emergencies in Kyiv and the region. The aircraft did not have permits to perform other types of flights. In preparation for the flight, the crew commander was not informed about the extremely unfavorable weather conditions over Brovary. The crew itself did not have the appropriate permits for flights in difficult weather conditions and the necessary certificates. However, none of the officials responsible for flight safety canceled it or rescheduled the flight. The helicopter was flying at extremely low altitude, lost its orientation in space and crashed into the ground. During the fall, the helicopter damaged the kindergarten, neighboring buildings and parked cars. In addition to high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, four women and a child, who had just arrived at the kindergarten, died in a plane crash. Another 31 people, including 13 children, were injured.

Among the suspects are five officials of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine: the head of the aviation and aviation search and rescue department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and. O. unit commander, deputy commander for flight training, commander of an aviation squadron, head of the flight safety service of a special aviation detachment of the operational rescue service of civil protection of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from the city of Nezhin, Chernihiv region. The issue of choosing preventive measures for them is being decided.

Among the victims of the accident, in addition to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, are also First Deputy Minister Yevgeny Enin and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lubkovich.
