The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Yermak: 22 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine returned from captivity
Kyiv has returned 22 captured soldiers of the armed forces of Ukraine – privates, sergeants and two officers, Andriy Yermak, head of the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, said on his Telegram channel.
All those released will undergo a course of physical and psychological rehabilitation, reintegration and receive the necessary treatment with the support of doctors, he shared the details.
As Yermak noted, the eldest of them is 54 years old, the youngest is 23. There are also wounded among those who returned to Ukraine, he informed.
The counter-offensive operation advertised in Kyiv began on June 4 in the South-Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Artyomovsk directions. Ukraine threw into the battle units trained by instructors from the North Atlantic Alliance and armed with Western-made equipment. Nevertheless, as Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, the armed forces of Ukraine have not been successful in any of the sectors of the front and are suffering colossal losses.
