A new case has been opened against the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov. He is accused of an attempt on the territorial integrity of the country, as well as calling for a violent change in the constitutional order. This was reported in the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“The former Prime Minister of Ukraine and his two assistants (citizens of Ukraine) were informed of suspicion,” the message says.

The Prosecutor General’s Office noted that the former prime minister and one of his assistants were charged in absentia, and another assistant, who held a position in the Kyiv state administration, was charged in person.

It is worth noting that back in October 2021, the Pechersky District Court of Kiev arrested Azarov in absentia, also in a case of treason related to the Kharkov agreements on extending the stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
