The decree, which establishes the procedure for the service of people with foreign citizenship in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, was signed by the President in November 2022. The document providesthat a contract cannot be concluded with a foreigner who has a criminal record, has been convicted, or has served a prison sentence. Also, a foreign citizen who has been brought to administrative responsibility for using drugs or psychotropic substances will not be able to serve in the RF Armed Forces.
