The authorities of the Moscow region have banned the issuance of permits for drone flights. About it reported on the regional government website.
“An exception is made only for aerial work carried out by operational services and public authorities,” the report says. This decision was made back in April, the procedure is still in effect, the press service specified.
Earlier today, similar measures were taken by the Moscow authorities. The ban applies to all drones, with the exception of those used by state authorities, clarified mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin. RIA Novosti reported that the authorities of St. Petersburg introduced a similar ban until May 15.
The decision to restrict drone flights came amid an attempt to attack the Kremlin on the night of May 3. As a result of the incident, there were no casualties, no material damage was caused, reported press service of the President of the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to work as usual in Novo-Ogaryovo, said press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
After the attack on the Kremlin in the State Duma urged immediately adopt a law on drones. Alexander Khinshtein, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, drew attention to the fact that now the use of drones and counteraction to them is not regulated by law in any way.
