A counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime has been introduced on the territory of the Petrovsky farm in the Stavropol Territory, the press service of the FSB department for the region reports.
February 8, 2023 at 20:00 <…> a decision was made to conduct a counter-terrorist operation and introduce a CTO legal regime for the period of its implementation within the boundaries of the Petrovsky farm of the Soviet urban district of the Stavropol Territory, ”the report says (quote according to TASS).
The department explained that the protection of public order has been strengthened on the territory of the farm, people’s documents are being checked, and access to people and vehicles may be limited in some areas.
CTO, or counter-terrorist operation, is carried out to suppress a terrorist act and crimes of a terrorist nature. In the event of the introduction of CTO, the head of the federal executive body in the field of security notifies the President of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the chairmen of the State Duma and the Federation Council about the introduction of the CTO regime and the territory within which it is carried out.
