The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have pulled up additional forces to the Artemovsk region in the DPR. Andrey Marochko, an officer of the People’s Militia of the LPR, reported this with reference to intelligence data.
“The arrival of reinforcements for the VFU was noted in the area of the settlement of Artemovsk,” – wrote he is in his Telegram channel.
According to Marochko, most of the arrived military personnel were sent to the combat zone to make up for losses. The rest are still in the command reserve, he said.
Earlier today, on the air of Soloviev Live, Marochko said that the daily losses of the enemy in the Artemovsk direction amount to up to a battalion of personnel killed and wounded. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are also suffering heavy losses in the area of Svatov and Kremennaya in the LPR, as they are trying to break through the defenses there.
December 4 Ministry of Defense reported about the successful offensive of the Russian military in the Artemovsk region in the DPR. Prior to that, on November 28, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported that Russian troops were close to the operational encirclement of the city.
On the eve of December 6, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russian troops continue to liberate Donbass. He also listed the settlements that have come under Russian control in recent times. Recently, Mayorsk, Pavlovka, Opytnoe, Andreevka, Belogorovka Yuzhnaya and Kurdyumovka have come under our control,” said Shoigu.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
