In the villages of Iskra and Kleven, as well as in the village of Bogoslovka, Kursk region, problems with power supply began after shelling from Ukraine, there were no other injuries, said the governor of the region, Roman Starovoit.
According to him, the village of Iskra, Khomutovsky district, was under shelling on Saturday, more than 20 arrivals were recorded there.
“There are no casualties and no damage, but due to the shelling, the power supply of 3 border settlements was disrupted: except for Iskra, the village of Kleven, as well as the village of Bogoslovka. Repair crews are starting to eliminate the damage, – wrote Starovoit in his Telegram channel.
The Kursk region, according to the authorities, was attacked for the second time in a day. Earlier on Saturday night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) dropped an explosive device from a drone on the roof of the House of Culture in the border village of Dronovka. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, but the fragments slightly damaged the windows and facades of the nearby buildings of the feldsher-obstetric center and the village council.
On March 2, security measures on the border with Ukraine were strengthened in the region. This decision was made against the background of the penetration of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs into the Bryansk region, which opened fire on the car. As a result of the incident, two people died, a child was injured.
In early February, the high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat was also indefinitely extended in the Kursk region. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been in effect in the region. Such a regime has been established in seven more regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Bryansk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Rostov regions.
