Security measures will be strengthened in the Kursk region, Governor Roman Starovoit gave such an order. This was reported by his press secretary Anastasia Gurina.
“Given the difficult situation in the border settlements, on behalf of the Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit, security measures will be strengthened in the region. In connection with the current medium level of response and the yellow level of terrorist danger in the region, the protection of public order has already been strengthened,” she said (cit. according to TASS).
Gurina added that special control is carried out at facilities that ensure the vital activity of the region.
Today, a group of Ukrainian saboteurs entered the Bryansk region and opened fire on a car. As a result of what happened died two people, a child was injured. He is in the hospital, nothing threatens his life, Governor Alexander Bogomaz later said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin named occurred by the terrorist attack. The head of state stressed that the fire was opened on a car with children, the saboteurs saw this and started shooting anyway. Later, the FSB reported that the situation in the region was under control. During the inspection, many explosive devices of various types were found. Now work is underway to clear them.
In early February, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat was set indefinitely in the Kursk region. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been in effect in the region. Such a regime has been established in seven more regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Bryansk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Rostov regions.
