The Ukrainian Armed Forces conduct aimed fire at rescue boats evacuating residents from the flooded areas of the Kherson region. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the chairman of the government of the region Andrey Alekseenko. According to him, the fact that there were no deaths is a great success.
By the morning of June 9, more than five thousand people were evacuated to safe areas by the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In the Kherson region, more than 190 rescuers work on 66 units of highly passable equipment, including watercraft. The grouping of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to grow.
The Kakhovskaya HPP was damaged on the night of June 6, after which the cascade destruction of the dam and flooding of the territories began. According to the authorities of the Kherson region of Russia, more than 22 thousand houses were flooded in 17 settlements. At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is talking about the flooding of 34 settlements.
Vladimir Putin called the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station a vivid example of the war crimes of the Zelensky regime. According to him, these are barbaric actions that led to a large-scale environmental and humanitarian catastrophe.
