From August 10, until further notice, it is forbidden to use any drones in the Kherson region. The decree was signed by the governor of the region Vladimir Saldo.

“The use of aircraft of all types, i.e. any unmanned aerial vehicles is prohibited until further notice, wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

Saldo explained that such a measure is introduced to strengthen the protection of public order and ensure public safety. He clarified that legal entities and individuals will be able to use drones based on the decision of the operational group of the military commandant of the Kherson region.

The governor also instructed law enforcement agencies to appoint air surveillance posts and anti-drone units on duty and report daily on the results of their work.

The Decree comes into force from the day of its official publication. On the website of the regional administration was published 18 August.

The Russian special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the hostilities, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. On September 30, 2022, following the results of referendums, these regions became part of Russia. Since October 19 last year, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, martial law has been introduced in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
