The Suzemsky district of the Bryansk region came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as a result of which the power supply was partially disrupted, informed Governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz.
“Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the territory of the Suzemsky district. There were no casualties. As a result, the electricity supply was partially disrupted in the village. All emergency services are on site. As soon as safe access to power supply facilities is provided, emergency repair teams will begin restoration work, ”he wrote.
Later Bogomaz informed about damage to railway tracks as a result of the shelling of the village of Suzemka. “Before the restoration of traffic, a bus service will be organized for residents of the Suzemsky district,” the message says.
On October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing a “medium response” regime in eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of which were subjected to shelling from Ukraine).
In addition, the Bryansk region currently has a “yellow” level of terrorist threat. For the last time, a high level of terrorist threat in the region extended December 16 – the regime will last until January 4.
