The village of Stary Khutor in the Valuysky urban district of the Belgorod region came under fire from the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU), the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his Telegram channel.
“The village of Stary Khutor, Valuysky urban district, came under shelling. None of the residents were hurt. The fragments of the projectile damaged the power line, part of the village was de-energized. Emergency crews of power engineers went to the place. Administration officials continue to walk around the territory,” the statement said.
On October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing a “medium response” regime in eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of which were subjected to shelling from Ukraine).
In addition, the Belgorod region currently has a “yellow” level of terrorist threat. Gladkov extended it today until December 21. For the same period, the decree on the ban on launching firecrackers and fireworks was also extended.
