The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the city of Shebekino and the villages of Murom and Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region, informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel. As a result, no one was hurt.
“Arrivals were recorded in the city of Shebekino, the villages of Murom and Novaya Tavolzhanka. There were no casualties. There is minor damage to several private households. In Novaya Tavolzhanka, the roof of one of the enterprises was damaged. There is damage to the gas pipeline and power lines. Emergency services troubleshoot. The door-to-door bypass of the territories continues,” the message says.
On October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing a “medium response” regime in eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of which were subjected to shelling from Ukraine).
In addition, the Belgorod region also has a “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat. Since mid-April, 6 out of 7 regions have introduced a “yellow” level of terrorist threat, which was then repeatedly extended. The last time the high level of terrorist threat in the Belgorod region was extended on November 21, the regime will last until December 6.
