The armed forces of Ukraine shelled the city of Shebekino in the Belgorod region. About it informed Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.
“This night, the city of Shebekino came under the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There were no casualties. As a result of the door-to-door walk around the territory, various destructions were recorded in 12 private households and 2 cars,” the statement said.
Gladkov also noted that a power transmission tower was damaged as a result of the shelling. According to him, the full restoration of power supply should occur at 12:00 local time (coincides with Moscow).
A “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat has now been introduced in the Belgorod region. In April 2022, six of the seven border regions introduced it. Since then, it has been extended several times. In particular, in the Belgorod region it is valid until January 20, the last time it was extended on January 5.
In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been operating in the region, which, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been extended to eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of them were shelled by Ukraine).
