The high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat in the Belgorod region was extended until January 5, informed Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.
“Until January 5, a “yellow” level of terrorist threat operates on the territory of the Belgorod region. The corresponding document has been signed,” the statement said.
On October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree introducing a “medium response” regime in eight border regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions (some of which were subjected to shelling from Ukraine).
In addition, a “yellow” terrorist alert level has been in effect in several regions since mid-April, which has since been repeatedly extended. The last time in the Belgorod region it was extended on December 6.
Earlier today, the “yellow” level of terrorist alert extended and in the Kursk region. The governor of the region, Roman Starovoit, explained this decision with a “stably tense operational situation.”
