In the Belgorod region denied the information about the breakthrough of saboteurs

The data on the attempt of Ukrainian saboteurs to break into the territory of the Belgorod region do not correspond to reality, the operational headquarters of the region reported. Earlier today, Russian Telegram channels said that more than 15 members of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) tried to enter the Belgorod region on the evening of May 19.
“Information about an attempt to break through the sabotage group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not true. According to the latest confirmed data, yesterday, May 19, the work of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was carried out as planned on the border of the Belgorod Region,” – reported in the Telegram channel of the operational headquarters. They called on citizens to trust only official information and “not to succumb to provocations.”
According to Telegram channels, Russian border guards were able to repulse the attack. Mash wrote that the saboteurs were armed with AK-47s, grenade launchers, machine guns and sniper rifles. As a result of an attempt to break through, several Ukrainian saboteurs were injured, the publications said.
May 18 in the Belgorod region also refuted reports of an alleged breakthrough into the territory of the DRG region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the inhabitants of the region, on behalf of the department, sent messages about the breakthrough of the DRG and the announcement of the interception plan.
On that day, the Telegram channel Shot, citing sources, wrote that at night the Ukrainian DRG tried to break into the territory of the Belgorod region, but the border guards successfully repelled the attack. As a result of this, according to the channel, up to 10 saboteurs could die.
Now in the Belgorod region there is a “yellow” level of terrorist danger. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the region has also introduced a “medium response” mode. In addition to the Belgorod region, such a regime has been established in seven other regions – Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, Sevastopol, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
