The “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) resumed holding CTO together with the international coalition. In November, they were suspended due to airstrikes against the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Syria.
The operations took place on December 7-9 in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor and Al-Hasakah, the Directorate 4 Telegram channel writes.
The security forces managed to detain three militants of the Islamic State (the organization is banned in the Russian Federation), one of whom turned out to be a field commander of the group. During searches in the houses of jihadists, the Arab-Kurdish forces seized weapons, communications equipment and IEDs. According to the SDF, the detainees were planning attacks on prisons and the Al-Hul camp, where relatives of IS fighters are being held.
