The press service of the city administration of St. Petersburg reported that the city operational headquarters introduced a ban on the use of drones from today. So far, the ban is valid until the end of July. In addition, a ban on movement on jet skis was introduced in part of the city waters for the same period.
“Operational headquarters of St. Petersburg <...> made a decision from May 16 to July 31, 2023 to ban the use of unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of St. Petersburg, ”the message says, which also mentions a ban on the movement of jet skis.
“The decision was made in order to strengthen law enforcement and ensure public safety,” the press service explained the reason for the introduction of restrictions.
At the same time, it is noted that such bans in themselves are not new: they were introduced earlier this year during the celebration of Victory Day.
