The authorities of St. Petersburg have imposed a temporary ban on drone flights, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in the aviation industry.
According to the agency, the restrictions were introduced on April 27-28 and they will be in effect until May 15.
On the night of May 3, two drones tried to attack the Kremlin, reported press service of the President of the Russian Federation. As a result of the incident, there were no casualties, and no material damage was caused. Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to work as usual in Novo-Ogaryovo, said press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
After the attack on the Kremlin in the State Duma urged immediately adopt a law on drones. Alexander Khinshtein, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, drew attention to the fact that now the use of drones and counteraction to them is not regulated by law in any way.
