In the area of the Balaklava thermal power plant in Sevastopol, the Russian air defense system (AD) shot down a Ukrainian drone. This was announced by the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
“Today, early in the morning, in the area of the Balaklava TPP, air defense forces shot down a drone. There are no damages to the TPP, it is operating normally,” wrote he is in his Telegram channel.
The day before, February 16, Razvozhaev declared about two downed drones over the Black Sea near Sevastopol. He clarified that several more drones were eliminated in the water area – in the Crimean zone. The governor stressed that the situation in the city remains calm.
On the same day, residents of Crimea noticed the sounds of explosions near Armyansk. Advisor to the head of the republic Oleg Kryuchkov explained this is the conduct of combat coordination of the Russian military north of the city.
On February 10, the “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat was extended in Sevastopol for an unlimited period. In addition, since October 19, 2022, a “medium response” mode has been operating in Sevastopol. In addition to Sevastopol, such a regime has been established in seven other regions – Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions.
