The fire at the oil depot in Sevastopol, where tanks with oil caught fire after the drone attack, has been completely eliminated, said the governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev.

“Major General Aleksey Anatolyevich Rokhlin, head of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Sevastopol, has just reported that the fire has been completely extinguished. The duty calculation remains in place, ”- wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

This morning in Sevastopol, after a drone attack on an oil storage tank, fuel tanks caught fire, the fire was assigned the 4th rank, no one was injured. Razvozhaev admitted that the fire would be extinguished by 18:00. “All the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Sevastopol have been involved, fire brigades have arrived from the Republic of Crimea. The resources of the Black Sea Fleet are also involved. The fire train also started extinguishing the fire,” the head of the city said.

Later, he clarified that only one drone was able to reach the oil reservoir, and the second drone was hit by the fighters of the fleet’s external observation posts using small arms. Razvozhaev also wrote that more than 150 people and 50 pieces of equipment were working at the fire site. According to him, the incident will not affect the fuel situation in the city.

On the same day, the Air Defense Forces (Air Defense) on April 29 shot down a drone over Crimea, another drone was suppressed by electronic warfare (EW). According to the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in his Telegram channel, the attack did not result in casualties and destruction.

In early February, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat was set in Crimea indefinitely. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been in effect in the region. This regime has been established in seven more regions – Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk and Rostov regions.
