In September 2022, the Russian government will submit proposals to President Vladimir Putin on the further social and economic development of the country, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said. Earlier, Vladimir Putin instructed the government to update all actions and plans before the budget cycle.
“Given the risks and external pressure that we are facing, it is necessary today to form a common vision for the further socio-economic development of Russia both in the short term, which should be reflected in the draft federal budget for next year, and for a longer period,” — said the head of the Cabinet at a consolidated strategic session on the main areas of economic policy in the face of sanctions.
According to Mr. Mishustin, the government is faced with the task of reviving consumer demand and lending, preserving jobs, developing industry markets and strengthening investment activity.
He also noted that in September the Cabinet needs to report on the results of the work done to the president, after which a draft federal budget for the next three years will be submitted to the State Duma.
Former Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin declared about the need to fine-tune the Russian financial system in the face of sanctions and restrictions. Also, according to the head of the Cabinet, in Russia should engage in the introduction of digital assets in trading operating procedures.
