In the Russian Federation, new regulations for the driving license exam will come into force on April 1
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that in Russia, from April 1, 2024, a new regulation for passing the driver’s license exam will come into force.
One of the innovations will be to prevent persons who have evaded appearing on a summons from the military registration and enlistment office from taking the exam. Thus, these persons will not be able to obtain a driver’s license.
Before the expiration of the required period, persons subjected to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated and other violations will not be able to take the exam.
It is also proposed to increase the amount of penalty points from five to seven, upon which the candidate is considered to have failed the exam.
The draft departmental order is currently under discussion.
